Snacking Around The “Disney” World

Snacking+Around+The+Disney+World

Disney is known for their creation of fun cartoon movies and characters such as Mickey Mouse, as well as for the Disney World and Disney Land amusement parks. What is less known, but still amazing, is the delicious food and snacks that you can find as a part of Disney and in their parks all over the world. This article will specifically be about foods found in Orlando Florida’s Disney World and on Disney’s Dream Cruise. Just recently I had the opportunity to go and try some of these amazing treats and will be rating them.

This adorable breakfast meal can be found on Disney’s Dream Cruise. The dips on the top left are a soft pink butter and a sweet cream, which do wonders when paired with the Mickey Waffles. The waffles themselves have a soft inside with a crunchy hard outside. They are also super cute. The only bad thing about these waffles is that they are usually way too hard on the outside and can be difficult to cut or bite through. Overall this breakfast is a 7/10.

This refreshing icy treat is called Dole Whip and is found at very select Disney places. Some of which include Disney Magic Kingdom and Disney Hawaiian Resort Aulani. Dole whip is a soft serve pineapple treat perfect for a hot day. Sophomore Gabbi Pritchett recently went to the Aulani resort for spring break and had this amazing treat a number of times, “It was perfect to have while laying in the sun. Having it at only a few random places makes finding and having the treat that much better,” said Pritchett. Pritchett rated this treat an 11/10.

This salty snack was found at an outside stand at Disney World’s Hollywood Studios as well at Epcot. This snack is paired perfectly with a smoothie or an ice cold lemonade on a hot day walking around the park. It is perfect for a quick sit down snack and is delicious as well as cute. The salt and the sweetness of the bread balanced perfectly and overall this is a must have. I give it a rating of 9/10.

This light blue drink can be found only at Disney World’s Galaxy Edge located in Hollywood Studios. It is called Blue Milk and isn’t exactly what it is named. While it is light blue, it is more of a slushy than it is milk. It is amazing to have on a hot day or after a ride. It is found at little stands and restaurants in Galaxy Edge and is very popular. It is definitely worth it and is a must have when you visit this land. I would rate this treat a 10/10.

This cold chocolatey treat was found on the Disney Dream Cruise as an adorable dessert. It is hard chocolate with sprinkles on the outside with sweet vanilla ice cream on the inside. It is an addicting treat that is a perfect way to end a meal. It was super sweet and delicious but also very filling, so it was almost never finished. Overall I would give this Mickey bar an 8.5/10

Lastly, these creative and artistic coffee treats were found on the Disney Dream Cruise at the coffee shop. Both drinks are hot vanilla lattes which took only a few minutes to make. The detail on the top is not made by hand, but by a machine found inside. The only problem is that the cafe is only open to guests 18 and up. They both may have been a little too sweet but are still definitely a must have when on the boat. Although the art was the best thing about the drinks, they were still delicious. Overall I would rate these 6/10.
