Jaida Cartwright is a sophomore here at Independence, and she joined Broadcasting her freshman year. She has a goal of majoring in journalism and becoming a sports commentator in college. She enjoys the Broadcast class, as she claims, “We always get our work done and have fun at the same time.” 

Along with Jaida being an avid member of Broadcast, she enjoys English class, because she likes reading and writing. She also likes to spend time with her friends, whether it is in or out of school. She and her friends go shopping, watch shows, and just enjoy each other’s company. She describes herself as creative and funny, saying that her favorite hobby is shopping with friends. She says, “Shopping helps her express herself and allows her to bond with friends.” She takes pride in her time at Indy, as she is a proud member of the JV cheer and softball teams. 

Jaida strives to make others happy with her company. She always finds a way to make people laugh by “doing silly things”. She wants to be a happy presence in people’s days. She intends on taking Broadcast through her senior year and continuing in college. She hopes to impact Indy by providing us with essential information every day.
