Fire up the band, it’s an Indy Parade
Independence High School hosted its second annual homecoming parade in the Brambleton Town Center on Oct. 8. The parade featured the Independence marching band, color guard, cheerleading team, mascot, homecoming court and first responders. The event brought the Brambleton community into the homecoming festivities as many elementary and middle school students could be seen wearing their respective school’s spirit wear.

Senior drum major Kaylin Shukert (left) shared her excitement after the parade saying, “It’s nice to see the younger kids waving. It’s a good introduction into the music program for them, so it’s exciting for our future generations.”
