Tigers tell their tales
Juniors: Olivia Rubino, Samantha Lawler, Kaitlyn Nimmer, Haley Huggins, Ashley Perez, Josie Askelson, Maddie Hunt and Reagan Wise dressed up as pirates to show their junior class pride.
Thursday, Oct. 7 brought about the fourth day of Independence’s Tiger Tales Homecoming Spirit Week, “Tell Your Tale Day.” To show their school and class spirit, each grade dressed to satisfy their fairytalical subtheme: witches and wizards for freshmen, royalty for sophomores, pirates and mermaids for juniors and villains for seniors.
Leyla Acot (9) and Nekeisha Matta (9) dress as witches to represent the freshmen class. “I think the freshmen did a pretty good job of dressing up, but we still have a long way to go to compare to the upperclassmen’s spirit,” Acot stated.
