Aidan McDonald- Tigers Taking the Next Step: athletes commit to college

Aidan McDonald, a senior member of the Independence Baseball Team, has had his mind set on playing baseball in college for a very long time. Next year, the dedicated athlete will achieve his dream when he ventures to James Madison University to play baseball at the division one level.

Q. How long have you been playing your sport for?

A. 15 years

Q. What has your athletic career looked like? 

A. I’ve always played baseball, I played a little basketball in middle school, and I played football once as a freshman.

Q. When did you decide that committing for a sport was something you wanted to do?

A. It’s been my dream since I found out you could play baseball in college.

Q. Do you have a favorite memory from this sport?

A. My favorite memory is hitting my first home run on the big field.

Q. What are you most looking forward to in college (sports or academics)?

A. Meeting new people and playing the game at a high level.
