On Friday, April 16, all of the rising freshmen for the 2023-2024 school year came to Independence for various activities. 

The future Tigers were able to preview the new show Independence Theater and Performing Arts is putting on, “The Lighting Thief.” The freshmen also got a tour of the school and went to the library to learn about the importance of asking for help. Student athletes talked about “being spirited at the school, being on a team, being in clubs and all that goes into it,” says senior Jack Franks who is the president of SCA. The SCA tried to improve and learn from what went wrong last year. 

Overall, it was a great experience for the students.
