My name is Naomi George and I am a sophomore at Independence High School. I was born and raised in Virginia and this is my first year in journalism. I’ve been interested in journalism since I was a kid and I wanted to take the opportunity to be in a journalism class this year. My goal for this class is to write a piece that I’m passionate about and something my audience would enjoy reading. In my free time I like to read romance books, swim, bike, and I’ve done competitive rowing for a year now. I’d like for my rowing team to make it to states for a regatta which is a race. I am looking forward to writing about individual people on how they live their lives or student profiles. After high school I want to major in criminal law but I’m unsure of where I want to go. I’d love to study abroad in England, but specifically London. Most importantly, I am a dog person and I currently have a dog named Scotch.
