Life doesn’t seem all that bad when every day is a holiday. Holiday Insights has a list of holidays for every day, and most of them are shown on this calendar. Below are descriptions of some of the most interesting holidays.

World Environment Day: This day was made to bring awareness to the environmental issues that the planet faces today. It was created by the United Nations General Assembly in 1972 on the anniversary of the opening of the UN Conference on the Human Environment. Some ways to celebrate this day include spreading awareness of environmental issues and contributing to organizations that work to fight these issues.

D-Day: During World War II in 1944, the Allied troops invaded Normandy, France. This battle was known to be the turning point in Europe during the war. This day was made to commemorate the soldiers that risked their lives for this outcome.

Juneteenth: This is a huge holiday in America. It celebrates the end of slavery in the United States, finally granting former slaves their freedom. Although the Emancipation Proclamation was issued on September 22, this holiday is held on June 19 because it was the day General Gordon Granger rode into Texas to free the last of the slaves.

Let It Go Day: While life is full of regrets, it’s important to remember when to let those thoughts go. This is a day to think about any regret, guilt, or bad feelings that you have and simply let them go. If it is something that is out of your control, it is better to let it go rather than stress yourself out.
