Q:What has been your favorite spirit day so far and what are you looking forward to?

A: “My favorite day was Barbie day. I’m looking forward to Friday, class colors.”

Q: What’s your favorite part about spirit week at Indy?

A: “I like to show my support for the school, and show my school spirit. I love this school.”

Blake Belcher is a senior at Independence High School. He has been in newspaper journalism previously for one year. This year was spent writing for the IHS newspaper, The Prowl. He specializes in writing articles about sports, specifically basketball. This comes from a personal interest in the sport as he likes to play it for fun. He has an interest in analyzing and breaking down sports games. Blake also coaches a third grade basketball team. He has a younger brother in the 6th grade that he likes to play sports with, and a 7 year old black lab. Blake also has a passion for cars, as he recently started a car detailing business.
